BAKE SALE - November 24th

Assalamu Alaikum dear Parents, 

                   The Parents Support Team (PST) cordially invites you to the Bake Sale Fundraiser that will be running during the Parent Teacher Interview night.

                      When: Friday, November 24^th from 2:30pm- 5:30pm.

Where: ​ ​Hallway next to the Abraar School library- Elementary campus.

                How can you help: By generously donating a food item for the bake sale​.

 (NUT FREE and SELF SERVING (NO SCOOPING/ CUTTING REQUIRED)). 

➢            To ensure a variety of dishes, we have divided the bake sale donation categories as follow:  

Food Items	Classes
Appetizer + Salads	SKs - 3 - 6
Deserts	1 - 4 - 5
Main dishes	All classes are welcome to contribute
Juice + Pop + Water	JKs - 2

➢       VERY IMPORTANT: PTI night is during a PD day we would like to request that parents drop off all non-perishable and non-refrigerated items on November 23^th. All other items may be dropped off on the day of the bake sale Nov. 24.

Keep in mind 😊: PST is looking forward to have more volunteers to help in the upcoming events for more information feel free to contact us by email PST@abraarschool.com  with VOLUNTEER in the subject line, to find out how you can be a part of the Team.

A BIG THANK YOU to all those that tried out and performed. A very SPECIAL THANKS goes to the parents that helped their children with creative ideas and encouraged them to perform ! this event was a HUGE success. looking forward to next year ...get ready Abraarians!

TALENT SHOW REMINDER- Auditions Sat. April 21 @ 12-3 p.m.

TALENT SHOW REMINDERS

- Live Auditions will be held THIS Saturday, April 22, between 12pm & 3pm, at the School GYM. Please use the back door entrance.

- We understand that there was some mix up in sending out a hard copy of the forms, so thanks to all those that managed to submit their act.  Due to the confusion,  we will accept walk ins this Saturday. Keep in mind, auditions are first come first serve. 

- Auditions must be between 2-5 minutes long. And will be judged by our panel of judges. 

- Auditions for the host positions are open for students from Gr.5 and Gr.6 only.

- 15 performances will be selected to perform on stage at Abraar School’s in May (stay tuned for details closer to the date)

TALENT SHOW 2017

Abraar School 2017 Talent Show

Assalamu Alaikom

We are pleased to announce that The Parent Support Team (PST) will be hosting a Talent Show at Abraar School. This is a fun event for the children run by the children.

The Talent Show will be held on Wednesday May 10. Time is yet to be determined.

Anyone affiliated to the school can participate in this fun event, students, staff, and even the Principal!!!

YOU can perform any talent you have! Example: Song, Martial Art, Acting Performance, Comedy, Magic Show etc.  Please keep in mind that all performances need to adhere to Abraar behaviour and values.

Live Auditions will be held on Saturday, April 22, between 12pm & 3pm, at the School.

Please submit the registration form below, before the date for live auditions. Auditions must be between 2-5 minutes long. And will be judged by our panel of judges. 15 performances will be selected to perform on stage at Abraar School’s on May 10

Auditions for the host positions are open for students from Gr.5 and Gr.6 only.

PLEASE NOTE – we would love to accommodate everyone but we are limited to a capacity of 250 in the Gym, so ticket sales will be on a first come first served basis.

A call for help

A call for help to the Abraar school community.

As you all know the school security level is currently set at “Vigilant/Safe Code”. In order to ensure that our children stay safe we are asking to get some parents help monitor the school premises.

The school needs help during the following hours;

Elementary Campus

·         8:00 am-8:45 am (monitor doors/hallways and assist students in the hallways)

·         Morning Recess: School yard duty

·         Afternoon Recess: School yard duty

·         Dismissal Time: Monitor doors/hallways

Secondary Campus

·         8:30-9:10 am (monitor doors/hallways)

·         Morning Recess: School year duty

·         Afternoon Recess: School yard duty

·         Dismissal time: Monitor doors/hallways
